SMART

The high-resolution interactive LCD dash display on the SEC20-3 allows operators to stay constantly informed about the truck’s performance. New ZAPI ACE3 controllers allow for advanced control and communication. Three selectable performance modes, along with a turtle mode feature, allows for greater flexibility and customization per application.

With the SEC20-35, durability and reliability are never in question. Performance

The TWLi20 has a tight turn radius, making it perfect for indoor and narrow aisle applications. The dual-joystick controls direct the movement of the forks, sideshifter, and fork positioner, allowing the operator to navigate the facility with ease. The chasis has a low center of gravity and wide tires, which provides excellent stability for the truck.

Advanced ergonomic features on the S40-60 include a standard adjustable full-suspension vinyl seat, hood mounted levers with low input force required, a small diameter steering wheel with a standard spinner knob, adjustable steering column, and spacious floorboard which can accommodate operators of all boot sizes. The design of the S40-60 has been optimized to reduce vibration and noise in the operator compartment. What makes this the best electrically powered terminal tractor?

There are three big differences, and many small ones, that make our new generation of electrically powered terminal tractors the best. You will benefit from:

Charging time cut in half. Our first big change has been to incorporate a DC FastCharge System, which has allowed us to cut charging time in half.

No more transmission. The second is that we have removed the transmission from the driveline, moving to a direct drive solution where the electric motor powers the drive axle, reducing the complexity of the driveline.

Ability to operate in extreme temperatures. Thirdly we have included an Active Thermal Management System, which will allow your electric terminal tractor to operate optimally at full power in extreme temperatures.

What models are available?

There are five models available for you to choose from:

Charging solutions are covered for 2 years and batteries for up to 5 years. What is the difference between a Terminal Tractor, Yard Truck or Shunt Truck?

Yard Trucks, Shunt Trucks and Terminal Tractors are exactly the same machine used for cargo handling at distribution, ports and terminals and industrial facilities. Taylor Announces Electric Vehicle Innovation Powered by the Best-in-Class Battery Technology by Proterra

Louisville, Mississippi – Taylor Machine Works, Inc. has always been at the forefront of innovation and problem solving throughout its 94 years of manufacturing. In 2019, Taylor first accomplished this by engineering the ZLC Series designed to load and unload shipping containers weighing up to 75,000 pounds in port environments. The battery-electric ZLC Series met the stringent zero-emissions standard without interrupting the demanding processing sequence required by the world’s busiest ports. Utilizing state-of-the-art electric motors and environmentally responsible battery packs, the ZLC Series plug-in battery electric vehicle was equipped with enough energy to smoothly transition from combustion engines to reliable electric power.

Now Taylor is venturing into a new relationship with Proterra Inc, the leading innovator in commercial vehicle electrification technology. Taylor will power the next-generation Taylor ZLC Series electric container handler with 904 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy and the ZH Series electric forklift with 225 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy using Proterra’s industry-leading battery technology. These all-electric container handlers and forklifts will support various heavy-duty applications, including container handling in port environments and other heavy-material handling industrial settings such as warehouses, plants, worksites, mine sites, steel yards, lumber yards, and others. Taylor expects to deliver the first Proterra powered Taylor vehicle to customers in 2022. What is the Difference Between ABS and ESC?

Anti-locking braking systems stop your wheels from locking up when you apply the brakes, this allows for the driver to maintain control without the vehicle skidding. While the ESC system is able to apply the brakes to individual wheels to help maintain stability, particularly when the truck is at risk of jackknifing or spinning. This is done by the system automatically reducing the engine throttle and selectively applying the trucks brakes.
